Our Animals

Upper Tal-y-Fan Farm is new to your hosts Peter & Jane. It is a working livestock farm, our rare breed pigs will be arriving soon. At various times throughout the year there will be grazing sheep in the fields, they go away for lambing and are then back in the spring with their lambs at approx. 5 weeks old. It is the intention to have a few cows in the future. We have a selection of rare breed chickens and in March 2024 we took delivery of six rescued barn hens, they are all now true free range living under the watchful eye of Clive the cockerel, you can set your watch to his crowing for an early morning alarm call!

We also have some horses, that you may see in the fields from time to time., and two Jack Russell Terriers. We also re-homed some tortoises in early 2024 and they will be moving into their new ‘arena’ in the spring of 2025 when they emerge from hibernation.
